Confucius Institute in Sofia Has Co-organised A Wonderful Chinese Night Cultural Event

On November 9th 2024, the cultural event named A Wonderful Chinese Night, has been held in the Toplotsentrala - the Contemporary Art Venue Of Sofia. The event has been hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria and co-organised by the Confucius Institute in Sofia. Hundreds of local people have attended the event and have experienced this wonderful Chinese cultural journey together.
At the event, the Confucius Institute in Sofia have set up four display booths - one of traditional Chinese clothes, a second one for traditional Chinese paintings art, a second one for the art of the Chinese kites, a third one for Chinese calligraphy, and a fourth one for Chinese chess. These cultural activities have attracted many people to stop by and to experience the charm of the traditional Chinese culture.
Miss Mariana Zagorska from the Confucius Classroom at the Maxim Gorky Secondary School in Stara Zagora together Mr Vasko Vaskov from the Confucius Classroom at the 138th Secondary School in Sofia (a musicla duet), and Miss Zornitsa Tabakova from the Chinese cither band of the Confucius Classroom at the 18th Secondary School in Sofia, have been awarded prizes of excellence in the vocal competition. Mr Kaloyan Nikolov and Miss Nikol Yalamova from The Evlogy And Hristo Georgievi Private Secondary School in Sofia - a teaching centre at the Confucius Institute in Sofia, have taken part in the recitation of ancient Chinese poems in the concert. This event has been a great demonstration of the results of teaching Chinese language and culture in the Confucius classrooms and the teaching centres of the Confucius Institute in Sofia.
