In 2026, the Confucius Institute in Sofia (CIS) marks the 20th anniversary of its establishment. On this occasion, we have the honor to announce our  EVENTS CALENDAR:

21–22 March 2026: Bulgarian Go Championship, with the participation of the European Go Federation. The championship will be held at the Confucius Institute in Sofia, 79 Todor Alexandrov Blvd. The award ceremony for the winners will take place on 22 March in the afternoon at CIS.

18 April 2026:
(10:00–13:30) – Opening of the Peony Culture Center of Heze Municipality, Shandong Province, China; Confucius Institute in Sofia Open Day;
(14:00) – Chinese Song Competition “Songs with the Fragrance of Roses” on the occasion of the UN Chinese Language Day.

22–28 June 2026: Photo Exhibition “China through the Bulgarian Lens” – foyer in front of the Aula, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”

25 June 2026: (15:00–16:30) Lecture series dedicated to Chinese musical culture “You and I Talk about Chinese Culture.” Speakers: Dong Jingmin, Miglena Tsenova-Nusheva, Ivanka Vlaeva. Confucius Institute in Sofia, 79 Todor Alexandrov Blvd.

26 June 2026: (17:00–19:00) Gala Concert on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Confucius Institute in Sofia. Aula, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”
