The Confucius Institute in Sofia Held the Second Chinese Proficiency Test Organization Training Session for 2025

On November 28, the Confucius Institute in Sofia, held the Second Chinese Proficiency Test Exam Organization Training Session for 2025. Chen Ying, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute; Chinese teachers; local teachers; and administrative staff responsible for exam administration, all attended the meeting.


Chinese Director Chen Ying provided an overall plan for the exam organization, clarified the roles and responsibilities of the chief examiners and the exam supervisors, and outlined general requirements regarding exam room arrangements, exam procedures, and discipline supervision. She also highlighted key points related to the integration of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) and the Chinese Proficiency Speaking Test (HSKK). Confucius Institute teacher Zhang Qing guided the participants through the Exam Organization Manual, providing detailed explanations on pre-exam preparations, exam procedures, and handling of exceptional situations.


The Confucius Institute in Sofia will hold the second Chinese Proficiency Test of the year on December 7. This will also be the first organization at this test center following the integration of the HSK and HSKK exams. Students from Sofia and the surrounding areas have actively registered, with nearly 300 registrations in total (175 for HSK and 110 for HSKK), showing a significant increase compared to previous sessions.
