The Chinese Language And Culture Summer Camp At the Burgas Branch Of the Sofia University Has Been Completed By Flying Colours

On 19th July 2024, the Chinese language and culture summer camp organised by the Confucius Institute in Sofia in cooperation with the Sofia University branch in Burgas, has been successfully completed. Mrs Plamena Apostolova - Head of the administration of the Sofia University branch in Burgas, the teachers from the Confucius Institute in Sofia and all the students from the summer camp study group, have attended the graduation ceremony held at the Bourgas Cultural Centre.

The summer camp is a two-week programme for the local people in Burgas. The curriculum has included topics such as greetings, time and date, the Chinese zodiac, hobbies and plans. In addition, traditional Chinese culture courses have also been set up, allowing students to experience the arts of calligraphy, the Go play, the shuttlecock play and other special cultural activities.
This activity is the second Chinese language and culture summer camp organised by the Confucius Institute in Sofia and the Burgas branch of the University of Sofia. The summer camp has inspired the local people's enthusiasm for Chinese language and culture, and has gained unanimous praise from the participants.
