A Student From the Confucius Classroom At the 18th Secondary School In Sofia Has Won the Third Prize In the 2024 World Chinese Bridge Voiceover Competition For Foreigners

On 23rd December 2024, the final round and the awards ceremony of the 2024 World Chinese Bridge Voiceover Competition For Foreigners have been held in Quzhou city, Zhejiang Province. This time the competition has been hosted by the Chinese Аnd Foreign Languages Exchange and Cooperation Centre ат the Ministry of Education of China (CLEC), with the support of the Xinhua Expo Channel and the Wuzhou Hanfeng Education Network Technology Co (Beijing). Since its launch in July, a total of 940 contestants from 67 countries and regions have submitted 1044 voiceover works. After a fierce competition, Miss Karolina Georgieva Yotova - a student from the Confucius Classroom of the 18th Secondary School in Sofia, under the Confucius Institute in Sofia, Bulgaria, has won the third prize in the junior category.
In the preliminary round, Carolina has successfully advanced to the final round with her clear, fluent and compelling voice acting. In the final round, Carolina has firstly performed the preliminary piece Warm Hugs, and later she has drawn lots with the adult contestants to form a team for a team voiceover effort. She and her team members have performed the Dream of the Red Chamber with powerful voice acting and with natural expressions and movements, which have won applauses from the audience.
Since joining the Confucius Classroom at the 18th Secondary School in Sofia, Carolina has shown great enthusiasm for Chinese language and culture learning. She has actively participated in various cultural activities, and has been at the Tianjin Yinghua Experimental School as an exchange student. She has become a role model for the Chinese language learning in the Confucius Classroom.
