The Confucius Institute In Sofia Have Signed A Memorandum For Co-Operation With the Bulgarian Technologies And Innovations Corporation And With Some Other Institutions

On 28th May 2025, the Confucius Institute in Sofia have signed a memorandum for cooperation with the Bulgarian company Technologies And Innovations Corporation (BTIC) in Plovdiv and with some other institutions. Mr Venelin Yordanov - the Executive Director of the Technologies And Innovations Corporation in Plovdiv, Mr Dimitar Gishin – the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ‘Valley of Deep Technology Innovations’association in Plovdiv, Mr Rosen Gerasimov – the Headmaster of the ‘Acad. Blagovest Sendov’Vocational High School Of Informatics, Mrs Aksiniya Koleva - the Bulgarian director of the Confucius Institute in Sofia, Prof. Chen Ying – the Chinese director of CIS, and others have attended the signing ceremony.
Representatives of all parties have met at the venue of the Technologies And Innovations Corporation in Plovdiv and have introduced the basic situations and the development characteristics of their respective organisations. According to the memorandum, the parties will cooperate in the fields of Chinese language teaching and organisation of Chinese cultural events in Plovdiv and the region, in the exchange of visits of Chinese and Bulgarian groups, and in the exchange of technological innovations. The Confucius Institute in Sofia have plans to organise a Chinese culture workshop at the Vocational High School Of Informatics in Plovdiv in July this year and to launch Chinese language courses in the autumn semester.
Established in 1992, the Technologies And Innovations Corporation in Plovdiv is one of Bulgaria's leading science and technologies companies, with business covering technological research and development, vocational education and cross-border investments. In recent years, the corporation have been actively promoting the exchange of technical talents between China and Bulgaria.
