The Confucius Institute At the University Of Niš In Serbia Have Paid a Visit To the Confucius Institute In Sofia
On 30th September 2024, Mr Ivan Jovanovic - the Serbian Director and Mrs Gao Jing - the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at University of Niš in Serbia, have led a delegation to visit the Confucius Institute in Sofia. The delegation has been welcomed by Mrs Aksiniya Koleva - the Bulgarian director of the Confucius Institute in Sofia, and Prof. Chen Ying – the Chinese director of the Confucius Institute in Sofia.
The delegation have visited the library, the multifunctional hall for academic exchange, the phonetics classroom, the exhibition hall for paintings and other teaching facilities and cultural activities of the Confucius Institute in Sofia. Both parties have exchanged gifts.
During the discussion, Mrs Aksiniya Koleva - the Bulgarian director of CIS, and Prof.Chen Ying - the Chinese director of CIS, have summerized the history and the development of the Confucius Institute in Sofia. Moreover, they have briefly introduced the current work situation at CIS, and have shared a short video displaying the cultural activities of the Confucius Institute through the years. Both leaders on the Serbian side - Mr Ivan Jovanovic and Mrs Gao Jing have successively introduced the basic situation, the advantage factors and the challenges faced by the Confucius Institute at the University of Niš, and have expressed their hope to learn from the rich experience of the Confucius Institute in Sofia to promote their own steady development. Both parties have further discussed the possibilities for future cooperation.
The Confucius Institute at the University of Niš in Serbia have been officially launched on 20th September 2024. It is a joint venture between the University of Niš in Serbia and the Jiangsu University in China. The Confucius Institute at the University of Niš is the third Confucius Institute in Serbia.
