Confucius Institute in Sofia Teaching Site “Petar Bogdan” Foreign Language High School Held a ‘You and Me · In Beijing’ BFSU Chinese Bridge Summer Camp Sharing Session

On November 11, the Confucius Institute in Sofia teaching site “Petar Bogdan” Foreign Language High School in Montana held a sharing session for the ‘You and Me · In Beijing’ BFSU Chinese Bridge Summer Camp. More than 20 participants attended the event, including Bilyana Derlipanska, the school’s principal, Larisa Lazarova, vice principal, as well as Chinese language teachers and students.

The invited student speakers, Emilie Dubois and Hristian Nikolov, were participants in this year’s summer camp. They reviewed their study and experience in Beijing, including Chinese classes, cultural lectures, visits, and exchanges, and presented some of their learning results, sharing their personal impressions of Chinese history and culture. In addition, the two students described a day spent with a Chinese host family and amusing stories about the friendships they formed with young people from other countries. During the subsequent interactive session, students engaged in discussions on topics such as Chinese cuisine, urban scenery, and campus life, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.

“Petar Bogdan” Foreign Language High School currently offers seven Chinese groups, providing high-quality Chinese courses for local primary and secondary students. The school actively encourages students to participate in various Chinese-Bulgarian cultural exchange activities and has become an important window for the local community to learn about Chinese language and culture.
